Inner-city streets and commuter routes
Shared mopeds and scooters parked where you already walk. Unlock one from your phone, pay for the minutes you ride, lock it and go.
What the service looks like at kerb height.
Most short journeys are lost before they start. You check the timetable, you weigh the wait against the walk, you look up the fare, you stand there. VIVE MOTORS is built for exactly those two minutes.
Open the map. The vehicles on it are the ones you can take now — a moped three streets over, a scooter outside the bakery. Tap one and it is yours for a few minutes while you walk to it, off everyone else's map. At the vehicle you tap unlock: the lights blink, the top case opens, the helmet is in there.
Then you ride. The meter runs from the moment you pull away and stops the second you finish. Park inside the service area, close the case, tap end ride. The vehicle locks itself and you walk off without having owned anything, insured anything, parked anything overnight or looked for a petrol station.
Every moped and scooter shown is available right now, with its charge level. When someone else gets there first, it leaves your map.
Hold a vehicle while you finish the coffee or get your jacket. The reservation keeps it parked for you instead of handing it to the next person walking past.
No desk, no deposit, no key handover. One tap opens the vehicle and the top case where the helmet lives.
Short hops are billed like short hops. Choose per-minute as you go, or a fixed trip fare shown before you unlock.
Park inside the service area, tap end, and the vehicle locks. The trip closes on your screen with the minutes and the route on it.
Pick one at the moment you unlock — nothing here locks you into the next trip.
The default: the meter starts when you pull away and stops when you lock.
One fare for the whole journey, quoted on screen before you unlock.
For the days with six errands in them: unlock as often as you like until midnight.
A monthly bundle of minutes for people making the same two trips every weekday.
Which of these are live depends on the city and the vehicle class. Ask us what runs where you ride.
It depends on the vehicle class and on the rules of the city you are riding in. You add your licence when you set up the account, and the map then shows you only the vehicles you are allowed to ride.
Yes — helmets live in the top case, which opens with the same tap that unlocks the vehicle. They are checked and cleaned when the vehicle is serviced.
The map shows the remaining range before you unlock, and vehicles that cannot complete a normal trip come off the map rather than catching you out. If the charge drops while you ride, the app points you to the nearest place you can legally park and end there.
Anywhere inside the service area shown on your map, in a spot where parking that vehicle is legal — not courtyards, private garages or buildings. The app tells you whether you can end where you are standing before you tap the button.
A vehicle-sharing service is only as good as the hour nobody sees. Overnight, flat batteries come out and charged ones go in. Tyres, brakes and lights are checked. Helmets are wiped down and put back in the case. Vehicles that spent the evening clustered outside one bar get moved back to the streets where the morning starts.
That is the part of the job that decides whether the map you open at 8:40am is honest. We would rather show you four vehicles that are genuinely there and genuinely charged than twenty pins that send you walking.
If you want to talk about a city, a campus, a fleet or a partnership — that is the conversation below. Tell us where you are and what you need moving.
Leave your name and email and tell us what you need — a city launch, a fleet question, or simply whether we run where you live.
Someone from VIVE MOTORS will get in touch by email shortly.
